Summary

From USA Today and Amazon Charts bestselling author Meghan Quinn, comes a new marriage of convenience romantic comedy。 This steamy, laugh out loud, enemies-to-lovers small town standalone delivers the perfect happily ever after。

He proposed 。 。 。 and I said yes。
Normally a jovial occasion for a couple in love, but this proposal has a very different feel。
Because the man that I'll be calling my husband blew into town with one thing on his mind 。 。 。 to make my life a living nightmare。

So why did I say yes?

Well, because we both need something from each other。

Namely, I want the farm land he currently owns, and he needs a wife in order to inherit his family cabin in his grandfather’s will。

So as he so eloquently put it, my hand, for his land。

At first, I thought the idea was nuts。
Who really gets married out of convenience?
Apparently, I do。

And now we have to sell our relationship to the town。 Meaning, we're holding hands, he's pinching my cheeks 。 。 。 upper and lower。 We're even forced to share the one-bedroom guest house on the farm where his monstrous body is taking up a large percentage of the bed。

But we’re so persuasive about our farse, that now I’m starting to think he actually might like me。 Especially when he grabs me by the wrist and teases the shell of my ear as he whispers, “Mine。”

laugh out loud romantic comedyLoving Almond Bay and its characters。 Aubree is just so lonely it makes your heart ache for her。 Wyatt is a hoot, everyone’s BF, these two are polar opposites but with a common goal in sight, they start to work。 This is addictive, hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time。 A fabulous read。 Cannot wait for more

The Reason I Married him deliversI thought I loved Hattie and Hayes, but Wyatt and Aubrey are my new couple。 Overcoming self doubt and being able to trust in someone else is always something I am interested in reading。 Bravo Meghan。

This was a fun, lighthearted book!Left the night before his wedding, Wyatt finds himself in a race to beat his cousin to marry first in order to inherit his grandfathers cabin。 He comes up with a plan to have a marriage of convenience to Aubree, a grumpy, closed off woman who owns the other half of the farm he inherited from his brother。 The not so good:-the first half of the book really seemed to drag on-there wasn’t a reason for him to keep his past a secret in a marriage of convenience, yet I This was a fun, lighthearted book!Left the night before his wedding, Wyatt finds himself in a race to beat his cousin to marry first in order to inherit his grandfathers cabin。 He comes up with a plan to have a marriage of convenience to Aubree, a grumpy, closed off woman who owns the other half of the farm he inherited from his brother。 The not so good:-the first half of the book really seemed to drag on-there wasn’t a reason for him to keep his past a secret in a marriage of convenience, yet I guess it did lead to the conflict of the bookThe good:-loved the banter and joking throughout the book! The epilouge would have been a good place to mention them meeting (IMO)。BTW。。。 I loved seeing and hearing about other MQ universe characters (Holt, Fallon, Kieko, Victoria, Rylee and Rosie) 。。。more

It's another MQ book with angst, love, hate, and everything in between。 Aubree is a very broken FMC。 Having suffered abuse in her childhood and then losing a sister, she is distant and jaded。 Wyatt, the MMC, suffers heartache after being essentially left at the altar。 After getting some unsettling news, he travels to visit the family since they are loosely related。 Aubry's deceased sister was married to Wyatt's deceased brother。 He has a proposition for her。 It really took me a while to learn to It's another MQ book with angst, love, hate, and everything in between。 Aubree is a very broken FMC。 Having suffered abuse in her childhood and then losing a sister, she is distant and jaded。 Wyatt, the MMC, suffers heartache after being essentially left at the altar。 After getting some unsettling news, he travels to visit the family since they are loosely related。 Aubry's deceased sister was married to Wyatt's deceased brother。 He has a proposition for her。 It really took me a while to learn to like Aubree。 She really was quite the b*tch for a big part of the book。 But the characters were very well developed, and eventually, there is an HEA。 4 stars。 3 stars for the smut。 。。。more

I liked this book specifically because of how endearing and goofy the MMC was, the humor is fantastic, especially the proposal scene。

DNF。 I tried to push through, I had really high hopes, but I did not like the MMC from the introduction alone。 He gave me the ick:/ I really enjoyed the vibes of almond bay, but that was about it。

MQ is one of my favs。 I have never laughed out loud at a book until hers。 This one did not disappoint! HEA, spice, touching backstory。 Fake dating or marriage isn’t my cup of tea but the rest makes up for it。 Similar enemies to lovers as “The Way I Hate Him”

Absolutely continue to love these characters! Wyatt and Aubree had me laughing so hard and I just adore their story! Bring on Ryland’s!

I had so much fun returning to Almond Bay! This is Aubree Rowley and Wyatt Preston's hilarious and heartfelt marriage of convenience story。 Wyatt and Aubree both inherit a farm from their married siblings who suddenly pass。 Aubree is excited and works hard to make the farm a success。 When Wyatt suddenly appears with all his sunshiney suggestions on how to make the farm better, he gets on Aubree's very last nerve。 It turns out that Wyatt needs Aubree's help for him to inherit a family cottage tha I had so much fun returning to Almond Bay! Can Wyatt convince Aubree that their explosive chemistry isn't fake but as real as it gets? Can something this good grow strong when it begins with lies? I fell so hard for Wyatt and Aubree and cheered hard for their HEA。 Aubree came from such a difficult past, building up walls that only her family could see thru。 Wyatt was so swoony with his patience with Aubree, taking things slow and waiting for her to own up to her feelings while he proved to her that he was loyal and someone who would never hurt her like others in her life。 He really helped her let down her guard, and open up to become the warm, loving, fun women she was always meant to be。 They were so great together, I loved their witty, and argumentative banter, how they challenged each other, and their chemistry was explosive! I also loved all their family and friends who only added more quirkiness and fun to this story。 There were so many laugh out loud moments but many sweet, swoony, and slow-burn steamy moments as well。 I loved this hilarious, heartfelt and sizzling romance! 。。。more

Wyatt stole the show! The story of a marriage of convenience between Aubrey and Wyatt。 This was the perfect mix of fun, funny, sweet and sexy。 Wyatt stole the show for me。 He was perfect for Aubrey in every way, and he was hysterical。 Watching him break down her walls was heartwarming。 I think their growth as a couple was inspiring。 This was a super fun read and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I really liked this book but there were too many plot holes for me。 Wyatt started off like a real sleaze but then you end up liking him and I found myself laughing out loud while reading this book。 My issues were the fact that Wyatt’s parents were not around at all, they have a granddaughter who lost both her parents and they are nonexistent? Also, Wyatt said they weren’t looking forward to meeting Aubree, wouldn’t they have already met her? Where was Abel? Also, Wyatt said they weren’t looking forward to meeting Aubree, wouldn’t they have already met her? Where was Abel? In the first book it talked about how close he was to the family, and how he attended family dinners and in this book he was mentioned twice。 Echo was also introduced to be a friend to Aubree, would have liked to see that friendship develop a bit more。 The epilogue was boring, barely tied up the loose ends or gave a a glimpse into their future。 Talked about random authors that I assumed were characters from another book。 Was just unnecessary and would have liked to have seen more of them moving forward together rather than a random book signing with random characters。 Pretty disappointed the next book is about Maggie and her boyfriend。 Was hoping for Ryland or Abel。 I’m assuming Echo was introduced to be a love interest for Ryland。 。。。more

This book was a really fun read, albeit a little slow in the beginning。 Aubrey at first, wasn't my favorite FMC。 She was a little too brash and standoffish for the first 30% or so and I wasn't sure if she was going to turn around or not。 I like strong independent characters, but I don't like when they jerks for the sake of being a jerk to someone and she was definitely that at first。 Over time she slowly changes and we get to see a better side of her。Wyatt on the other hand, was definitely the g This book was a really fun read, albeit a little slow in the beginning。 Aubrey at first, wasn't my favorite FMC。 She was a little too brash and standoffish for the first 30% or so and I wasn't sure if she was going to turn around or not。 I like strong independent characters, but I don't like when they jerks for the sake of being a jerk to someone and she was definitely that at first。 Over time she slowly changes and we get to see a better side of her。Wyatt on the other hand, was definitely the golden retriever type of guy。 He was adamant that he was going to slowly work his way into Aubree's good graces and, of course, he does。 One of the things I loved most about this book was the family aspect。 I liked how everyone came together to help with Mac and I loved how realistically Ryland was overwhelmed with his new role as caregiver/parent。 I'm looking forward to him getting a book so we can see more of the inner workings of his mind and struggles。 Overall, this was a great read and I really enjoyed it once I got past the first 30%。 I'd definitely recommend it。ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review 。。。more

I really liked this and felt they built a deep connection, my only issue was that it felt like it should have been set over a much longer period of time。The connection felt really strong but when you realised it had only been a few weeks it felt a bit fake。

The grumpy/sunshine trope is one of my favorites when it comes to the romance genre, and when it's done in reverse--aka grumpy FMC and sunshiny MMC--there's an additional interesting aspect in the mix。 Aubree and Wyatt were an unlikely couple, and convincing the former to even look at the latter with something other than dislike and distrust, what more saying "yes" to his plan, was entertaining to say the least。 But kudos to Wyatt to going above and beyond, and I don't think he was pretending to The grumpy/sunshine trope is one of my favorites when it comes to the romance genre, and when it's done in reverse--aka grumpy FMC and sunshiny MMC--there's an additional interesting aspect in the mix。 Aubree and Wyatt were an unlikely couple, and convincing the former to even look at the latter with something other than dislike and distrust, what more saying "yes" to his plan, was entertaining to say the least。 But kudos to Wyatt to going above and beyond, and I don't think he was pretending to be someone he wasn't, which was what made him so darn likable。 He was genuinely a good guy, and not just a guy pretending to like the girl he needed something from。 He and Aubree forged a friendship, and whatever else developed afterwards felt organic to me。 Speaking of Aubree, goodness but how this woman made me want to give her a hug--not that I think she would readily accept one from me, and I wouldn't blame her either。 There was a wariness to her that I could easily relate to, and having any sort of relationship with her, romantic or otherwise, was one that had to be earned, one step at a time。 I loved seeing these two work their way to a happily-ever-after, and the Rowley family and the townsfolk of Almond Bay are adorable。 Five stars。 。。。more
